Story line 'I dont want to be shattered from dangers, want to be fearless while facing them' DABANGG means Fearless.

Set in Laalgurj, Uttar Pradesh, Dabangg is a story of Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan), a totally fearless but corrupt police officer with unorthodox working methods.

But even the most fearless at times face a tough fight with their innermost demons. Chulbul has had a bitter childhood. His father passed away when he was young and mother Nalini (Dimple Kapadia) married Prajapati Pandey (Vinod Khanna). Together, they had a son Makhanchan (Arbaaz Khan).

Prajapati favours Makhanchan which does not go down well with Chulbul. He decides to take the control of his destiny and detaches himself from his stepfather and half brother. His sole attachment is his mother. However after his mother's demise and an unsuccessful attempt to mend wounds, Chulbul snaps all ties with his stepfather and half brother.

Rajo (Sonakshi Sinha) with her unique perspective of life enters his world and turns upside down. Chulbul starts to see life more positively and also gets sensitized to the value of a family.

But his detractors especially the dubious Cheddi Singh (Sonu Sood) have their own vested interests. And emerge as spokes in the wheel, pulling one brother against the other. Makhanchan ends up carrying out acts oblivious to the consequences. When he realizes he has been used, he turns to Chulbul.

My Gut Feel and comments :  After a long time I have witnessed an upcoming film promoted so aggressively which would definitely bring in first hand audience to the theaters in coming three days which would definitely give great opening to the film at box office. Salman Khan is all over the placed for promotion of the film which is a good sign. Salman’s last hit film wanted also given a boast to the moral of the star and he is looking in the same chilled out mode which he portrayed wonderfully in wanted. Salam has a great mass following which would go in favor of the movie as the plot of the movie based on U.P.  I am getting positive vibes and sensing a hit although I would give 3 out for 5 stars to the movies as I am not expected to a great story with flawless screenplay however still expecting it to be a full on masala entertainer…

Story line and other highlights:‘Peepli Live’ is a satire, which revolves around a villager from Central India called Natha, his brother Budhia and their family. The family is about to lose their land because they are unable to repay a loan, when, they hear of a government programme which offers the family of any farmer committing suicide a compensation of rupees 100,000 ($2000). The older brother convinces his sibling into agreeing to commit suicide. This sets in motion a chain of events which finds Natha in the eye of a storm. The local big wigs, the state government, high ranking bureaucrats, federal ministers and the national media all become stakeholders in the mad circus that erupts. This is the story of India today. Rural society, the bureaucracy, media, politics and life.

Peepli Live is an upcoming Bollywood film which is produced by Aamir Khan. Directed and written by Anusha Rizvi in her first directorial venture, the film stars Naya Theatre company member Omkar Das Manikpuri as well as Raghubir Yadav, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Malaika Shenoy along with a number of newcomers. Peepli Live, distributed by UTV Motion Pictures is scheduled for release on August 13, 2010. A satire on the farmers’ suicides and subsequent media and political response , Peepli Live is competing in the Sundance Film Festival, the first film from Bollywood to achieve this feat. However for the Indian release the film got an ‘A’ adult certificate. The movie has been picked up by specialty German distribution company Rapid Eye Movies for a special screening at the ongoing Berlin International Film Festival.

My Gut Feel and comments : Peepli Live is a directorial debut of Anusha Rizvi backed by strong  production house with great publicity which would definitely give the a good opening to the movie. With the brand like Amir Khan’s association with the film and unique cast and interesting story line this movie seems to be an great selling product which would appeal to both masses and urban metro city audiences.  Movie is dealing with the serious matter of Farmer suicides in light humor way which would definitely do the trick and I am optimistic that this movie would be a success at box office as well being a low budget movie. I would give 4 out of 5 stars two day’s before all over India release of the movie.

Story line AISHA is an adaption of the British novel, Emma by Jane Austen. The movie has been shot in Delhi, Hrishikesh and Mumbai. Aisha is about a twenty-five year old Delhi girl Aisha Kapoor, an incorrigible meddler who believes that "there is nothing more beautiful than a match well made." Aisha has unmatched style and social graces. She is an artist, loves gardening and knows her fashion. She can make her Anamika Khanna blend well with her Chanel and a Jimmy Choo with ease. She is charming and everyone wants to be her friend and every guy wants to date her. However, she hasn't found the time or space in her life for a man because she's too busy trying to fix everyone else's life.

Having lost her mother at a young age, and her elder sister married off, she is now the mother hen and looks after her father and the house well. She refers to every activity as her "project". She believes she knows best and she believes she is the only one who can make anything happen.

After successfully marrying her Masi to a widower Colonel, Aisha sets her sights on pairing her plain, new, uncultured friend, Shefali, with the local rich boy Randhir "Patel nagar ka papu". Randhir, however, has other ideas, as does Aisha's closest friend, Pinky, a pessimistic loud-mouthed girl.

Enter Arjun, her childhood friend who reprimands Aisha on her 'projects' and mismatches. Arjun and Aisha share an antagonistic relationship that teeters between subtle flirtations and all out verbal digs at one another.
Arjun is the responsible and has a successful career. He is the kind of guy who will never stray and will be in love with his woman for the rest of his life. An every woman's dream man!

Just as Arjun becomes over protective and uncomfortably close to his colleague, Aarti, in comes Dhruv, the quintessential player with a constant smirk on his face and extra strong gel in his hair that won't allow a strand to go out of place. He's the bad boy that gives Aisha a run for her comebacks, leaves her jelly kneed and makes her think that maybe it's time she gave her own love life a chance. But as all girls learn, if a boy isn't going to get tamed, he's going to change his lair ever so often.
As Aisha's romantic angles go ridiculously wrong, triangles dissect and quadrangles form, she realizes that she is not very good at matchmaking. She makes a hilariously tangled mess of every body's lives around her only to realize that she may lose the perfect match for herself.

As in a Jane Austen story, it's obvious that won't last for long. Indeed, before the two hours are up, the title character has become enmeshed in a number of romantic entanglements, and it doesn't take a genius to uncover the identity of Aisha's true soul mate. Aisha then has the daunting task of finding her own path in front of her, even if it means cutting a route through the thick swampy jungles of the mess she has created. At least she'll do it while looking good and smelling great.

My Gut Feel and comments :  Here comes Anil Kapoor Films Company PVR Pictures with there latest offering AISHA.  If we go by the promos it looks like a  light heared romantic movie. Music is good promos are catchy. It’s a sad history Indian cinema that women oriented subject and films have not done exceptionally well in the past and this looks as same case with Aisha. It looks like a movie which would not appeal masses and would stay confined to Multiplex Audiences only which might go against this movie. Being an home production Sonam Kapoor is all over the places in the promos. I am expecting it to be a good movie with rare chance of  Box office success and would still give 3 out of 5 stars.

Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai

--> -->
Casts : Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi, Kangna Ranaut, Prachi Desai, Randeep Hooda.
Director : Milan Luthria
Producer : Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor.
Writer : Rajat Arora
Music : Pritam Chakraborty
Release Date : 30th July, 2010

Story line: Gauhar Khan...... Item number Seen through the eyes of a police officer, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai traces the changing face of the Mumbai underworld. The film, set primarily in 1970-Mumbai, follows the rise of Sultan (Ajay Devgn), and his eventual fall, when his protégé Shoaib (Emraan Hashmi), challenges his supremacy, and usurps power to rule the murky underbelly of Mumbai.
The film is presented in a retro chic style and is a glamorous and powerful rewind to the golden era. Haji Mastanwho play Ajay Devgn, his good relation with Dawood Ibrahim who play Emraan Hashmi, his obsession with actress Madhubala who play Kangana Ranaut and his renouncement of crime in his later years. Haji had lived a very interesting life, and to that extent there is a wonderful story here, of a man with many contradictions in his personality.
He was a smart smuggler, successful distributor and producer of Hindi movies, and a politician. He is said to have formed the Dalit Muslim Surakhsha Maha Sangh in 1985-86. But after some time Haji and Dawood both can not maintain his relationship and become dispute between. Just call as Dawood and one time his right hand Rajan. Now both is very competitor and also want to kill any one. Dawood and Rajan on this topic already Company movie making.
My Gut Feel and comments : After the success of LOVE, SEX AUR DHOKHA Ekta Kapoor presents ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI directed by (TAXI NO. 9211, KACHCHE DHAAGE & DEEWAR: LETS BRING OUR HEROES HOME fame) Milan Luthria. Milan Luthria is around for quite some time now and seems to have hit the right note now with his current offering. Promo’s are impressive with even impressive star cast. Both Ajay Devgan and Emraan hashmi looking great in the role of Gangsters. Although I am not expecting this movie as good as Company , sattya or sarkar from the same league. Still I am expected it to be a good watchable movie and my gut feal is that it would do reasonably good business over all as no big release is lined up for next two weeks. I would give 3 starts of 5 to this movie and looking forword for the release.
