The satellite rights of Dhoom 3 have been sold at a record price of 75 crore.

My Gut Feel and comments:

Dhoom franchise is a pictogram of style, larger than life canvas and great action. Now with Aamir khan leading from the front, dhoom 3 taken the offering to next level which has increased the curiosity of audience. One think is for sure, knowing the recent trend of stars driven films like Chennai express and Krish 3,  dhoom 3 would also do the decent business and recover the extensive investment yash raj films has made.  Chrishmas and new year euphoria would definitely boost the chances of high box office collections of this movie.
Vijay Krishna the director of this movie had done quality work in the past as script and dialogue writer and I am sensing that he has done a justice to significant grand opportunity he get with extravagant production house and picture perfect star cast.  Aamir is a hardworking actor and seems to have pulled out special effort required for the film in terms of looks, physic and action sequences.

Contend wise personally I liked Dhoom 1 as compare to Dhoom 2 as it has better entertainment mass appeal. I am hoping dhoom3 would not be too complicated in presentation too difficult to relate and understand by masses. With a hope for engaging entertainer, I am giving this movie 3.5 stars out of 5 stars, four days before the release.

Rajkumar.[10] After the film's title change, Shahid Kapoor's character in the film, which was Rambo Rajkumar initially, was also changed.
  • Film’s budget is approx. 40 crore.

My Gut Feel and comments:

Mass entertainers are doing well these days and following the trend prabhu deva is coming up with R Rajkumar. Pepped up funky songs and its chorography already get the attention of cine-goers. Prabhu deva’s average hindi entertainers wanted and Rowdy Rathore became super hits as they got the boost from star presence like Salman khan and Akshay Kumar however same is not the case with R Rajkumar as Shahid Kapoor still finding it tough to get the foot holds in hindi cine business although being dedicated and hardworking performer.
Coming back to the R Rajkumar as I go by promos I am expecting it to be an average movie with loud over the top action, average screenplay and typical story line where hero fighting throughout the movie for his lady love and beating the opposition left right and center.
I would give this movie 2.5 out of 5 stars, five days before the release.

My Gut Feel and comments:
Revenge and hatred are the purest form or emotions and very few films by few directors able to display the same in hindi film cinema effectively.  In his initial films like satya, sarkar and company ramgopaI verma captured this emotion beautifully.
Tigmanshu Dhulia also managed to present this human emotion quite well in his most of the films.
Tigmanshu’s hasil and Paan singh Tomar are my all-time favorites.

Coming back to bullet raja, it loud and boisterous.  Saif ali khan is looking great in promos.  I have high expectations from this movie and as I go by my gut feel I am sure that Tigmanshu Dhulia must have done full justice to the screenplay and narration would be progressive. Other star cast is also seems to be apt and over all presentation seems to be impressive.
I would give this movie 3.5 out of 5 stars, five days before the release.

Music: Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani

Release Date: 22nd Nov 2013

Story line: Sriram Venkat (Imran Khan) is the most small-minded guy on earth who doesn't value relationships, family, friends, life or the country. Well not essentially in that order, because he even doesn't care about the order. This makes him the clear 'black' sheep of the family.
At some point this shallow man begins to narrate the story of the crazy relationship he shared with His ex girlfriend Dia Sharma (Kareena Kapoor), who is a hothead social activist and wanted to change the world. An attraction which was physical at first, but after that got emotional and lastly veered into complex territories, that resulted in a conflict of ideologies and mindsets which drove them apart, literally in a bitter manner. Sriram believed that charity begins and ends at home, whereas Dia felt that you have to be the change that you want to bring about, either in home or in society.
However, Sriram realizes that he is not over with Dia and still loves her deeply, and that she is the best change that ever happened, and will happen to his life. But Dia has moved on and is now in a murky village in Gujarat called as Jhumli.
Sriram somehow lands up in Jhumli to take his love back, but Dia refuses to go back with him. Annoyed and faced with the final challenge, Sriram realizes the only way he can impress upon Dia to come back with him, is by making Jhumli independent. By helping others in life, something he is just not used to do, this is now the biggest quirk of fate in his life.
What he doesn't bargain for are the several road blocks he might encounter with, in the face of politics, corruption and clueless villagers. But the biggest obstacle he faces eventually is himself - His own moral stuff which isn't up to the challenge he has undertaken.
Will Sriram be able to win back his love? Will he be able to bring about the change in Jhumli, as well as in himself? This is the story of a boy to win over his love and his struggle to cross a bridge, a bridge that bridges the love and gap between two people.
Know more about the captain of the Ship, the director:  Punit Malhotra (born 13 May 1982) is an Indian film director who works in Hindi cinema. His first film, I Hate Luv Storys, released on 2 July 2010. He is the nephew of famous Indian designer, Manish Malhotra. Malhotra worked as an assistant director on Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Nikhil Advani's Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Amol Palekar's Paheli (2005) and Tarun Mansukhani's Dostana (2008). Finally he made his debut as an director, with I Hate Luv Storys (2010), which he also wrote.

Facts And Figures:

  • The movie was announced in 2011,however was delayed due to casting issues. The movie was initially to star Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan. Khan backed out of the project as he was unhappy with the script, and the movie was subsequently offered to Shahid Kapoor.Shahid Kapoor also had scripting issues, and Sonam Kapoor left the project as she didn't want the public to think she was cast due to her relationship with the director.
  • Later Shraddha Kapoor joined the cast in a supporting role.Earlier, actress Nargis Fakhri had been signed on for an item number in the film, however, due to shooting conflicts, Esha Gupta was then cast as a replacement.
  • Imran's wife, Avantika, also featured in Gori Tere Pyaar Mein in a half-second flash.Avantika has featured in as many as three films of Imran, Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, I Hate Luv Storys and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and the actor confessed she brought good luck for the films.
My Gut Feel and comments:
As I go by the promos it looks like a typical dharma production trade mark movie which is conventional in nature, a typical urban set up with ideally no surprises on screenplay and narration. Both Imran and Kareena looking very much typical and reminding their characters in ek mai aur ek tu.
I am not against this style of movies however this is an era of experimentation and with new generation of directors expectations are high. This is second film of Punit Malhotra as director and it looks like that punit sticked to the formula film where boy is chasing girl in second half of the movie and earn her love at the end.  Film would offer some light funny moments however would stay conventional throughout. I would give this movie 2.5 out of 5 stars, one day before the release.

Know more about the captain of the Ship, the director:  Bhansali began his career as an assistant to Vidhu Vinod Chopra and was involved in the making of Parinda, 1942: A Love Story and Kareeb. The film was a great success and won numerous awards. His next film Devdas Starring Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit was Bhansali's ode to the well known novel of the same name. Upon its theatrical release in India, the film surfaced as the highest grossing movie. It also won major Bollywood awards and was Indian submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The musical received a significant reception at Cannes, where it premiered. Then came Black, which Time Magazine (Europe) selected as fifth of the 10 Best Movies of the Year 2005 from across the globe. Black broke a record at the 2006 Filmfare Awards, winning eleven awards. After having four successes, Bhansali experienced his first major flop in Saawariya, which was met with sharp criticisms and simultaneously poor collections at the box office.

He has also remained a judge on music talent show X Factor season 1 and 2.

In 2013, Bhansali debuted in television with the show Saraswatichandra, which currently airs on Star Plus. This show started airing on the 25th February 2013, starring Gautam Rode and Jennifer Winget.

Facts And Figures:

Movie budget is Rs 35 Crore.
Initially shot in Gujarat some sequences of Ram-Leela were shot in Udaipur particularly at Udaipur palace and Gangaur Ghat where a song sequence was made. The story of the film is set in Gujarat. In Udaipur, Singh shot a song sequence in freezing cold water for about 45 minutes. Padukone was injured on set, however had to continue shooting as an expensive set was put up at Film City for a song
• It was confirmed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Director of the movie had set up a gym on the sets in Filmcity Mumbai for the lead actor Ranveer Singh to not be late for the shooting and to avoid any delays could cause for the movie.

• Attempts by Kareena Kapoor to work with Bhansali had failed, after she was initially signed on for Ram-Leela. However, she was later ousted from the movie by Bhansali.Reportedly, Priyanka Chopra was cast as a replacement, however she was also replaced due to unknown reasons.Deepika Padukone was finally signed on for the film in August 2012

My Gut Feel and comments:
Story of Ramleela is conventionally based on Shakespeare's classic drama 'Romeo And Juliet'. This means scope of experiment with story line is not there and everything is left on how good is treatment, screenplay and overall presentation. Ishaqzade did managed to bring out this conventional story entertainingly however off late Issaq staring Prateek babbar failed to do so.
Both were based on 'Romeo And Juliet'.

With Ramleela it looks like that Sanjay Leela Bhansali did manage to pull out a high drama decent entertainer. Canvas of this movie being a Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film is colorful, vibrant and larger than life which is eye catching and indeed Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are looking great on screen.  I always maintain a stand that’s it’s difficult to maintain high tempo throughout the two and a half hour and as I go by my gut feel I am sure repetitive moments would come however overall this movie would be one time watch. I would give this movie 3 out of 5 stars, five days before the release.

The greatest battle between good and evil begins....

Know more about the captain of the Ship, the director: Roshan started his career as an actor making his debut in the 1970 film Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani. He acted in over 60 films throughout the 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s.
Roshan set up his own production company Filmkraft in 1980 and their first production was Aap Ke Deewane (1980). He made his directorial debut with Khudgarz (1987) and went onto direct several box office hits such as Kishen Kanhaiya (1990) and Karan Arjun (1995). During this time he only acted occasionally in films and focused mostly on direction. He launched his son Hrithik's career as an actor with Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000). This film, the highest grosser of 2000, entered the Limca Book of Records for the most number of awards won by a Bollywood film. He directed his son again in the 2003 science fiction film Koi... Mil Gaya, which fetched him the Filmfare award 2004 for best director,[4] and its sequel, the science fiction superhero film Krrish (2006) both of which were also very successful at the box office. In 2008 he produced the film Krazzy 4. In 2010 he released a Bollywood meets Hollywood crossover film titled Kites. Another version of this film was released internationally, and known as Brett Ratner presents Kites: The Remix. This version was shorter, and mainly toned down the amount musical numbers.

Facts And Figures:

Estimated budget of this movie is Rs 100 crore.
Chitrangada Singh announced her inclusion in the project as a mutant, but she later on backed out of the film due to a lack of dates. It was reported that actresses Nargis Fakhri, Esha Gupta and Bipasha Basu were to replace chitrangada. Kangna Ranaut has finally been confirmed to play the role, who coincidentally was originally offered the role
After talks with Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan fell through, Vivek Oberoi was eventually cast for the role.
Film promotions has been done quite extensively in last 2 months which would sure sort give a bumper opening to this movie on the occasion of Diwali.

My Gut Feel and comments:
With Koi mil gaya… and Krrish Rakesh Roshan did manage to pull a full on entertainer which were primarily driven by emotionally charged script and screen play however it seems to be the case that with Krrish 3 he has followed the path of typical Hollywood sci-fi movie which is high on special effects and action sequence however low on mass appealing high voltage drama which has been a core competency rakesh Roshan’s previous offerings. It is evident that complete Roshan family put heart and soul to bring out an alluring sci-fi bollywood masala movie however my gut feel says that this time they have not manage to bring the balance. I love to be wrong and hope this would be a paisa wasol entertainer. I am disappointed with the music and it’s not up to the level Rajesh Roshan has maintained in last four or five Filmkraft Production’s movies. I would give this movie 2.5 out of 5 stars, two days before the release.
