Story line: This is an action-packed story of a kind-hearted gangster called
Boss. The tale also has a ruthless police officer, who is in the opposition of
Boss. It also narrates about Boss's father as well as his mentor.
Akshay Kumar will play a kind hearted
Haryanavi gangster, apparently known as Boss and Mithun Chakraborty will enact
the role of his father. Shiv Pandit will portray Akshay Kumar's younger
brother's role in the film and Aditi Rao Hydari is paired opposite him. Danny
Denzongpa will play Boss's mentor and Ronit Roy will play a ruthless police
officer who is pitted against Kumar.
Facts And Figures:
• Ronit along with
Akshay Kumar have an action sequence at the climax of the film, one of the
highlights of the film which were shot in temperatures exceeding 47 degree
Celsius in Thailand involving high octane stunts that were carried out in the
end successfully by both the actors
• Boss movie is an
action comedy and a complete masala entertainer which is a remake of a
Malayalam film Pokkiri Raja.
My Gut Feel and
comments:
“The packages are trying to engage
the consumer in such a way that they're inspired to buy the product.” Same seems to be
the case with Boss. Boss is a remake of successful Malayalam film Pokkiri Raja.
Remaking is indeed a trend from last 4 to 5 years, a super star from Bollywood engaged in successful
south India movie remake has been a success mantra in modern times. Masala entertainers always manage to find the
huge mass audience with increased chance of box office success even with the
mediocre screenplay, direction and narration. I am not expecting Boss to be a pure
quality entertainer however with Akshay’s presence, typical non experimental story
line and some mass appealing action sequences you cannot written off this movie
completely. I would give this movie 2.5 out of 5 stars, two days before the
release.
