Story line: This war-comedy is about relationship between the Indian
and Pakistani soldiers on the border. The movie aims at showing the way this
relationship is strained after the declaration of war. Not only is the movie a
satirical take on the conditions of the armed forces of two countries engaged
in a war, but it also tries to shed some light on some reasons behind one such
unwanted war. 'War Chhod Na Yaar' is a satirical but thought-provoking film on
the concept of war. Set in an Indo-Pak border post over the course of 24 hours,
the film deals with some serious events in a very funny manner.

My Gut Feel and
comments:
I was delighted as I saw the promo of this movie as now
Bollywood is attempting fresh stories and daring enough to experiment with unconventional
subjects. A satire on Indo-Pak war front situation is indeed a brave attempt
and webbing a comedy screenplay out of it is indeed a very difficult and tricky
as margin of error is quite less.
Movie claims to be an intelligent and sensibly handled
satire on stressful indo-pak relationship. As per my gut feel it would able to
achieve this goal to some extend and would have its share of laughing moments
in bits and pieces.
It’s important that movie of this sort should be short and
fast pace however this does not seems to be the case as movie. Movie has around
7 to 8 sound tracks and overall length of the movie seems to be off a typical
Bollywood movie. With this unconventional story line it’s difficult to maintain
the sensibility and interest audience at same time throughout the movie.
I am not expecting
it to be a flaw less entertainer and would give this movie 2.5 out of 5
stars, five days before the release.
