She persuades a reluctant Jai to make peace with the politician. But when this leads to humiliation being heaped on him, Jai loses his cool and declares all out war. It is an unequal war – on side stand the politician with his numerous henchmen and on one side is Jai – alone. But unknown to him, a silent revolution is taking place. My Gut Feel and comments:

Jai ho seems to be an average movie but as usual salman’s presence add spice to it as it did to his all the films since wanted. He drives the movie on his star power, karisma, great screen presence, action and mass appeal.  One this which are really like and clicks in case of his movie is that you won’t find the vulgarity in his movies which pulls the families with kids in theater. Saying no to vulgarity is a daring act and deliberately keeping it away from his films is commendable.  Female leads have been presented very decently in his films which is rare these days.

Sohail as a director delivered some average movies in the past and his sensibility of cinema is good enough to deliver non complicated movie which most of the time misses an X factor which disallows a movies register as excellent performance base high voltage drama.
I appreciate the intention of this Khan family and value their contribution to new age hindi cinema. I hope this time  sohail pulled out a hard hitting entertainer with no dull and loss movement result of bad screenplay and poor narration.

As far as box office success is concern its evident that average movies with star power like shahrukh, salman, aamir and Hritik in place do manage to do decent business and people do come to watch them and films recover’s its cost in first week of the release.

I hope this movie is prepared and presented intelligently however as  I go by my gut feel I am giving this movie 2.5 stars out of 5 stars, one day before the release.

He went on to assist him in all his subsequent films, and most notably co-wrote Vishal's trendsetting Omkara (2006) based on Othello and Kaminey (2009).

Eventually, he debuted as a film director with Ishqiya (2010), starring Naseeruddin Shah, Vidya Balan and Arshad Warsi, the film was produced by Vishal Bhardwaj and won rave reviews for him.

Facts And Figures:

• The role of supporting actress first was offered to Asin Thottumkal but, she refused to work in a supporting role in Dedh Ishqiya and in one interview she said that she thought that her role is not very attractive so, she left the project. Kangana Ranaut then signed Dedh Ishqiya and said she was going to start shooting soon. But in December 2012 she opted out due to date issues. Huma Qureshi replaced Kangna Ranaut.

• In May 2013, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah shot an intimate scene with Madhuri Dixit.'Dedh Ishqiya' first look released on Oct 25, 2013. The trailer was released on 8th Nov, 2013

My Gut Feel and comments:

Abhishek Chaubey nurtured under supervision of vishal bhadwaj and his films are also reflection of vishal’s school of cinema which is in a way dark and semi commercial in presentation. I liked Abhishek’s directorial debut film ishqiya and found first half quite interesting however film lost the grip towards the end which deprived it off being a cult entertainer.  This time I am hoping that Abhishek has done the justice and came up with a tight gripped story and screenplay as he has been blessed with ace performers like Arshad Warsi, Naseeruddin Shah and Madhuri Dixit.

Budget of this movie is moderate like any other movie of Vishal’s production house which increases the chances of recovering the money at box office.  Vishal’s movies never claimed to be masala entertainers with huge crowd pulling star cast which lead to its appeal to niche limited audience. Same seems to be case with Dedh Ishqiya.  I am expecting it to be a film with fast pacey first half and better overing then its prequel. Bring on optimistic side, I am giving this movie 3.5 stars out of 5 stars, four days before the release.
