My Gut Feel and comments:
Ahhh !!!   Sequel/Part 2 is a tricky ground as one thing is for sure that only successful films lead to Sequel/Part 2 which practically means an added pressure on creative heads to live up to the expectations of audience as comparison with the prequel/ part 1 is inevitable. Sad part is that most of the time in case of sequel/Part 2 film makers not able to recreate the magic. Tanu weds manu returns has been an exception recently.

Good things about ABCD was the rawness which  Remo brought on screen with a  simple story weaved around dancing performed by real life passionate dancers like prabhu deva, Ganesh Acharya and others. Liked we witnessed in the past in case of sequels and part 2s , now the budget, scale and technicalities grown up in case of ABCD 2 as well which conventionally is not a healthy sign as gone against the sequels/part 2s in the past.

In today’s time even if  most of the film makers are not smart enough to make a good film however they definitely became smarter to create an 1 minute  trailer which can baffle the audience and brought them to theaters. Off late it was a same case with Roy and Bombay velvet.

I have seen the promo of ABCD 2 several time to read between the lines and  to figure out the difference of point five star which means, will it be a 2.5 star .i.e. an average movie or 3 star movie .i.e. a good movie. My mind said 2.5 stars however my gut feel said 3 stars.

I am giving this movie 3 star out of 5 stars, five days before the release.

I just give my best and hope that it's good enough." His preceding film Crook, based on the racial attacks on Indian students in Australia was released in 2010. Facts And Figures:
• The leading cast of Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan was finalised on 23 October 2013,marking their third collaboration after The Dirty Picture (2011) and Ghanchakkar (2013). On 12 February 2014, it was confirmed that Rajkummar Rao will be joining the cast of the film. On 6 October 2014, it was suggested that Rao will be playing the role of the husband of the character portrayed by Balan, to which he confirmed that he plays a "pivotal role but not in terms of screen time"
• On February 2014, in an interview with Bombay Times, producer of the film Mahesh Bhatt revealed that the story of the film will be written by himself and it is based on the love story of his parents, Nanabhai Bhatt, Shirin Mohammad Ali and his stepmother.

The team shot the rest of the film in Mumbai. The shooting for the film was completed during the mid-January 2015.

My Gut Feel and comments:
I am a big fan of Mohit Suri’s work, his sensibility of cinema is astonishing. Being in mid 20’s he has directed films like Kalyug, Woh Lamhe and Awarapan, which were intense and high on human emotions. Understanding human emotions so well and presenting them on the screen at his age is a remarkable story in its own.

He directed all his movies under Mahesh bhatt’s banner except his last film Ek Villan. Partnership of Vishesh films and Mohit Suri put a deliberate attempt to keep a strong content with low budget. Cherry on the cake is the mesmerizing music which worked in their favor both commercially and critically. In Showbizz it’s a difficult task to ensure consistent performance with commercial gains. Mohit Suri has been an exception to this saying as he kept his feat grounded and to large extent credit goes to Mahesh Bhatt as well for this.

Humari Adhuri Kahani seems to be no different than his past projects and is a trade mark product of Mohit Suri. Movie is expected to be an intense, mature love story with remarkable performances by all the three leading actors Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan and Rajkummar Rao.
Title track of the movie is just out of the world. I heard the complete song several times since yesterday.  A thumps up from my side and I am expecting it to be a good movie showcasing interesting side of a love story which we have not seen on celluloid off late.

I would give this movie 3.5 out of 5 stars, five days before the release.

·         Movie running time is 170 minutes which is almost 3 hours.
·         Film shooting happened at locations like France, Italy, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, India.
·         The theatrical trailer of Dil Dhadakne Do has been viewed over one million times on YouTube in less than 24 hours of its release online, and the numbers are only growing with plaudits from commoners as well as celebrities. The trailer, which was unveiled on 15 April, shows actors Anil Kapoor, in salt and pepper look, and Shefali Shah as parents of Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh. While the parents want Ranveer's character to get hitched, they hope their daughter doesn't split from her husband, played by Rahul Bose.
·         The film was first announced as a film based on the brother and sister relationship between Zoya and her brother Farhan Akhtar, she had been working on the script after her 2011 film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The cast consisted of Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. After Ranbir's date issues were apparent, Akhtar approached Ranveer Singh to play the role of the brother opposite Kareena with Katrina as his love interest. Kareena had decided to turn down the offer as she was keen to work with cousin-actor Ranbir Kapoor who was replaced by Ranveer. In June, 2013 it was rumoured Priyanka Chopra will be replacing Kareena as Ranveer's sister and in October, 2013 it was confirmed. Also announced was Anushka Sharma as Ranveer's love interest and Anil Kapoor in a pivotal role. After featuring in Zoya's Luck By Chance and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, brother Farhan Akhtar was confirmed to play a role in the film. Actors Madhuri Dixit, Tabu and Raveena Tandon were all considered for the role of Ranveer's and Priyanka's mother on screen until Shefali Shah was confirmed.

Know more about the captain of the Ship, the director:  Zoya made her directorial debut with Luck By Chance which was well-received by critics, despite not doing well at the box office. In 2011, she directed Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, a multistarrer with Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin. It turned out to be a huge box office success and was well received by critics and won her Filmfare Award for Best Director. After the film's release, Zoya Akhtar expressed an idea to make a sequel of the film. Speaking about it, she said "You never know, I might or may not make a sequel. It all depends on the right content." She is currently working on Dil Dhadakne Do, a film based on a dysfunctional Punjabi family starring Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra as brother and sister, with Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar as their respective love interests and Anil Kapoor as their father.

My Gut Feel and comments:
Zoya had made two films before and one thing is common is the slow paced screenplay with non-typical style of cinema which has its own target audience and unquestionably  does not have a mass appeal like any conventional main stream cinema.  Same seems to be a case with “dil dhadakne do”. This seems to be kind of cinema which would get mix reactions from audience and even critics. Keeping the star cast in frame one might can get baffled and expect  high voltage swift screenplay and storyline going by their reputation derived out of the work these actors were assosiated in recent past however I can sense a movie which is so Zoya type where a story moves along slowly and steadily with some sparkling moments here and there in bits and pieces.

This time I am seriously worried about the length of the movie which is around 2 hours 50 minutes which seems to be on higher side going by standard length typical audience expect and appreciate these days. With a kind of cinema and storytelling Zoya and Reema Kagti are associated with lengthier film is a risky affair.

Going by the canvas, star cast, story line and on top of that the narration style I would give 3 stars out of 5, two day before the release with partial thumps up from my side with a hope that my worries have been addressed well and movie turned out to be a decent entertainer.
