Just when he was about to embark on this journey of his life he bumps into a wild, free spirited, French born Indian girl Shyra (Vaani Kapoor). A feisty romance ensues between the two in which both of their personalities- one being an equal match for the other are tested to the limit. Battling their ups and downs, both realize that love is a leap of faith that can only be taken by those who dare to love.

Know more about the captain of the Ship, the director:

Aditya Chopra (born 21 May 1971) is an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, broadcast producer and distributor. His work as a director includes Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Mohabbatein (2000), Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) and Befikre (2016).
He is also the current chairman of India's multi-national film, media and entertainment conglomerate, Yash Raj Films (YRF). Chopra has written and produced a number of critically acclaimed and commercially successful films under the banner like Veer-Zaara (2004), Fanaa (2006), Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), The Dhoom Trilogy (2004, 2006 & 2013) and Sultan (2016). He has tried to break away from typecast and forayed into production of off-beat films with unique subjects in projects like Kabul Express (2006), Chak De India (2007), Rocket Singh (2009), Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015) and Fan (2016), that do not necessarily fit into the realms of Masala films.

My Gut Feel and comments:

In my solitude, many miles from men and houses, I am in a childishly happy and carefree state of mind, which you are incapable of understanding unless someone explains it to you. Knut Hamsun

Going by the trailer of the film, it seems to be a similar stuff which we have seen several times in the recent past. However, as I was going through the recent interview of Ranveer Singh he categorically mentioned that promo is not revealing the essence of the movie and as per him plot is fresh and engaging and quoted it as a light hearted comedy movie.  This is indeed a fourth directorial venture of Aditya Chopra and I am sure he must have had put his best foot forward.
Censor board gave it U/A certificate and allowed the release without any cuts which is strange. Film length is 2 hour 12 minutes, which is good. I am not too hopeful about the movie, although however, loved to be proven wrong.

Going by my gut feeling I am giving Befikre 2.5 stars out of 5, three days before the release.
