Storyline:  Bhoomi is a revenge drama that tells the story of a father and a daughter. Sanjay plays the father while Aditi Rao Hydari essays the role of his daughter in the film. It is a story of a father (Sanjay Dutt) and his daughter (Aditi Rao Hydari) who have been torn apart by fate. Like any father, Sanjay chooses the best man for his daughter and dreams of seeing her tying the knot but then something terrible happens which takes away all the happiness of this small yet happy family.

The unfortunate incident is that Sarad Kelkar is the one who presumably sexually assaults Bhoomi aka Aditi in the film. What follows is Sanjay Dutt seeking revenge from those who ruined the life of his daughter. He is ready to fight against all the odds and even challenges the society which raises fingers on his daughter’s character. But we are once again stunned in the last few seconds of the trailer as he himself accepts in the law of court that his daughter is of objectionable character.

What made him do this?

Will he be able to seek revenge?

Find out on September 22nd.

My Gut Feel (MGF) and comments:

The Mahabharata says "Revenge is the purest emotion".

Trailer of “Bhoomi” shouts revenge. A father’s journey to get justice by taking matter in his own hand for his daughter. Sanjay Dutt looks amazing in the trailer. He has hit bullseye by choosing “Bhoomi” as his comeback  post three year conviction. This movie surfaces strong emotions such as vulnerability, revenge and love that any human being would feel at different stages in his/her life.

As the director, Omung Kumar has already proved his mattle through his last two directorial films, “Mary Kom” and “Sarabjit”.  I’m confident that he would have done a decent job this time as well as the director and the co producer of “Bhoomi”.

“Bhoomi” would definetly be a treat for all Sanjay Dutt’s die heart fans. It appears to be raw, intense and holds a mass appeal which would lead to decent business at box office.

Going by My Gut Feeling (MGF), I’m giving this movie 3 out of 5 stars one days before the release. 2.5 stars for Sanjay Dutt’s backing to this film  and point five star additional for direction of Omung Kumar which should given an edge to over all look and feel of this film.
